Warranty
At Xact Auto Parts, we stand behind the quality of the automotive parts we sell. We carefully inspect our parts before shipment and provide a 30-day limited warranty on eligible mechanical parts, unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page or sales invoice.
Warranty Period
The limited warranty begins on the date the part is delivered to the customer. Any warranty claim must be submitted within 30 calendar days of delivery.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another person or vehicle.
What This Warranty Covers
Our limited warranty covers eligible mechanical parts that are found to be defective or fail to operate properly under normal use during the warranty period.
Depending on product availability and the circumstances of the claim, Xact Auto Parts may:
-
Provide a replacement part;
-
Refund the purchase price of the part.
The appropriate resolution will be determined after the returned part and supporting information have been reviewed.
Installation Requirements
All automotive parts should be inspected and installed by a qualified, licensed mechanic or professional automotive repair facility.
The installer is responsible for:
-
Confirming that the ordered part is compatible with the vehicle;
-
Inspecting the part before installation;
-
Following the vehicle manufacturer’s installation procedures;
-
Replacing required fluids, filters, seals, gaskets, and related service components; and
-
Ensuring that all connected vehicle systems are functioning correctly.
Proof of professional installation may be required when submitting a warranty claim.
Items Not Covered
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the product listing, this limited warranty does not cover:
-
Labor, diagnostic, programming, towing, storage, rental vehicle, or installation expenses;
-
Shipping charges or freight costs;
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the operation of the part;
-
Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, abuse, racing, modification, or an accident;
-
Damage caused by overheating, insufficient lubrication, contaminated fluids, or failure of another vehicle component;
-
Parts that have been disassembled, altered, repaired, or modified without prior authorization;
-
Electrical parts, sensors, modules, computers, wiring, switches, and similar components unless warranty coverage is specifically stated in the product listing;
-
Routine maintenance items, including filters, fluids, seals, gaskets, belts, hoses, spark plugs, and similar service components;
-
Incidental or consequential expenses resulting from the failure or installation of a part; or
-
Parts installed in a vehicle other than the vehicle for which they were originally purchased.
Engines and Transmissions
When purchasing an engine or transmission, the customer and installer must perform all necessary inspections and maintenance before installation.
External accessories or components attached to an engine or transmission may be included for convenience but are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in the product description. These may include sensors, wiring, manifolds, injectors, pumps, brackets, starters, alternators, compressors, and other accessories.
Failure to follow proper installation procedures or replace required service components may void the warranty.
Fitment and Compatibility
Customers are responsible for confirming vehicle compatibility before purchasing or installing a part. Vehicle year, make, and model alone may not be sufficient to confirm fitment.
We strongly recommend comparing:
-
Manufacturer part numbers;
-
Interchange numbers;
-
Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs);
-
Engine and transmission specifications;
-
Trim levels and production dates; and
-
Electrical connectors and mounting points.
If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact Xact Auto Parts before placing your order.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To begin a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team within the applicable warranty period and provide:
-
Your name and order number;
-
The part name or stock number;
-
Vehicle year, make, model, and VIN;
-
A clear explanation of the problem;
-
Photographs or videos showing the issue;
-
Diagnostic documentation, if applicable; and
-
Proof of professional installation, if requested.
Do not return a part without first receiving return instructions or authorization from Xact Auto Parts. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Returning a Warranty Part
The part must be returned in the same condition in which it was supplied. Any identifying marks, labels, stamps, or serial numbers must remain intact and must match our original sales records.
The customer is responsible for packaging the part securely to prevent damage during return shipping. A returned part that is incomplete, altered, disassembled, or damaged due to improper packaging may not qualify for warranty coverage.
Replacement and Refund Limitations
If a warranty claim is approved, Xact Auto Parts may provide a comparable replacement when one is available. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, we may issue store credit or refund the original purchase price of the part.
The warranty is limited to the amount paid for the covered part. Original shipping charges, return shipping expenses, freight charges, labor costs, and other related expenses are not refundable unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
